Metamorphosis
I have been swept away by life again. I love it! It is as though I have been surprised by an Alaskan Taku wind, suddenly blown off my feet and sent in a new direction. When life's river runs a lively current bubbling with froth and eddies, one can only breathe deeply and try to paddle in some intended direction. That's fine with me. I don't try to be stationary. My heart beats happy in the rush of experience.
My music school has been patiently waiting while I took a detour into teaching remedial writing and reading at our local community college. Though I've been teaching private music lessons for most of my life, teaching classrooms full of college students has been a new journey. I have plenty to learn about teaching so many so much in so little time. Still, I am impressed anew with the power of simply caring. So many of my students are embroiled in difficulties. I've seen tears and trembling. I know I have connected. My heart aches and swells. I absolutely love teaching.

Blossom Music School Opens this September
I love teaching music. I taught in Sutherlin as Bayberry Music School for over 15 years. In 2006 I closed up shop and went back to college, this time for a degree in English and Writing. Now that I've graduated, I'm pursuing my writing and looking forward to teaching music again.
I've retired the Bayberry name in favor of my own name. The new school is called Blossom Music School. It's located in a cosy professional office at 221 West Central Avenue in Sutherlin, Oregon. Visit the school's web site at www.BlossomMusicSchool.com for more information.
